Arlo Go camera is offline: Troubleshoot

This article is about Arlo GO camera is offline and troubleshoot it.

Troubleshoot your Arlo Go camera when is offline:

  1. Firstly unplug Arlo Go camera and then remove & re-put the battery.
  2. Now, observe the camera LED status.
    • In case, you see the LED does not light up, then check the battery must be installed in the correct manner or battery is not dead.
    • Also check if the LED double blinks amber, which indicates battery is low.
    • Then if battery is low or dead, plug in the camera or place a fully charged battery.
    • Either if you see the LED does not light up even the battery is not low, then you need to turn off in your Arlo Go camera’s settings.
    • In case you turned off LED completely, then you need to log out of Arlo app and log it back again.
    • If you find your camera is still offline, then you must try moving it to place with better mobile coverage.
    • In case still this solution does not work, then you need to reset your Arlo Go camera and again set it up.
    • Lastly if you see the LED turns to blue very slowly, that indicates your camera is starting up. Here, you need to hold up for around 20-30 seconds till the LED stops changing.

  3. After that, you note the LED behavior. When camera is done starting up:

Here you will need to observe it according to function of LED.

  • LED blinks blue rapidly. In case you see LED starts blinking blue, that indicates the camera is connected to the cloud.


Here you need to Log out of the Arlo app on your device and log it back again.

LED blinks blue and purple. If you see the LED starts blinking to blue and purple, that indicates the camera is connecting to the network and the cloud. You need to hold on LED behavior to stop changing and gain check it.

Here you need to hold up for the LED to turn off for while, till it turns back on again and slowly blink blue for 20-30 seconds and also set into new behavior.

LED lights solid blue. If you find LED is solid blue, that indicates Arlo account is not connected to camera. You need to complete the new camera setup process.

LED lights solid amber. In case you see LED turns to solid amber that means there is No SIM card inserted or the SIM card is deface.

LED blinks amber slowly. If you see the LED start blink to amber slowly that means your camera does not have LTE network coverage. You need to relocate the camera to place which have LTE coverage.

LED blinks amber rapidly. In case you find the LED blinks amber rapidly, that indicates your camera is connected to the cellular network, but may not connected to cloud.

LED blinks amber and blue. If you see the LED turns to amber and blue then it means camera is receiving a firmware update. While this does not open the battery section or do not unplug camera till the update is successfully done. Aslo camera is rebooting.

Note

In case LED blinks blue slowly while startup process and then displays a different color briefly prior it turns off, that means it is turned off in your settings.

In case your camera is still offline and you didn’t see the behavior of the LED was displaying right before it turned off. You need to repeat the steps 1 and 2 and give full attention to the LED.
