To set up Arlo Pro cameras:

  1. Firstly, open the battery compartment by pressing the latch and pulling back gently.
  2. Then, Insert the battery as shown and close the battery door.
  3. After this, conduct the camera within one to three feet (30 to 100 centimetres) of the base station.
  4. Sync the camera to the base station:
  5. Press the Sync button on the side of the base station just for 2 seconds and then release the button. If you are using an Arlo base station
  6. Note: If you press down the Sync button on the Arlo base station for long time.
  7. The LED under the USB symbol blinks amber for 10 minutes. While the USB LED is blinking amber, the sync process is blocked. If you are using an Arlo Pro base station, press the button on the top of the base station for about two seconds and then release the button.
  8. Hold up for the sync status LED to flicker green.
  9. After that, press the Sync button on top of the camera for around about 2 seconds and then release the button.
  10. A blue LED on the camera blinks rapidly to confirm sync.
  11. If the LED on the camera blinks amber, the sync is not successful. You should repeat the sync process.
  12. Additionally, check the camera LED on the base station.
  13. The sync process is complete. If the camera LED on the base station turns solid green.
  14. Moreover, repeat these steps for each camera.

Note: If you do not finished the sync process in between 60 seconds, and press the button on the top of the base station and attempt it again.

Arlo Pro Camera LED

When the camera is powered on then LED on the camera lights. The LED changes colour and flickers depending on the battery charge and to specify the status of activities such as syncing the camera and updating the camera firmware.

Get an Account

To set up an Arlo account:

  1. Firstly, Tap the Arlo icon on your mobile device. If you are using a PC, enter https://my.arlo.com/#/login in the address bar of a browser.

If you are using a mobile device that supports Touch ID®, you are prompted to enable Touch ID or skip.

  •  Then, to use Touch ID, tap Enable Touch ID.
  •  After that, tap or click New to Arlo.
  • And select Arlo (Wire-Free).
  •  After the app discovers your device, choose your base station’s serial number from the main menu.
  •  After this, select your time zone from the menu and Tap or click Continue.
  •  Moreover, complete the required fields for account setup.
  •  Furthermore, Tap or clicks continue to proceed.
Arlo Pro Firmware Updates

 During initial setup, when you join the base station to your Arlo account, the Arlo Pro system checks for firmware updates. After you sync the first Arlo Pro Camera, if firmware updates are accessible, your devices automatically update.

The base station reboots and connects to the Internet after a base station firmware update.

The LED on the camera flickers alternating blue and amber when a camera firmware update is in progress period.

After that, the LED is off for around about one to two minutes while the camera installs the firmware.

Important: While the camera is updating and installing firmware kindly don’t open the battery door. After the camera firmware update finished, the camera syncs to the base station again and the camera LED flickers blue rapidly for about 10 seconds.
